Holistic Healing and Hoof Care
Finding a Balanced Approach to Equine Wellness and Movement Naturally

Mattie has been a barefoot hoof care practitioner for over ten years and has added bodywork to compliment the hoof balance and quality of movement for over four years. She originally learned from horses with very sick feet and bodies - usually failed show horses or racehorses. In the end, she learned how to comfortably transition even challenging cases so that in the end, many of her client horses could be comfortable every day and could be ridden barefoot in the Rocky Mountains completely barefoot or with only occasionally needing hoof boots!
Mattie has a holistic healing approach to natural horse care. This approach includes gentle bodywork and hoof trimming with motion and body balance in mind. Horses under her care find a much more comfortable way of moving, their bodies and minds become softer, more open, and more energetic, and they are sounder for more years of their lives. The proof, as they say, is in the pudding. Some of Mattie's clients are horses over twenty years old who look like they are in their early teens, with sound bodies and minds, and an enthusiasm for life.
Mattie believes that health comes from inside as well as outside. As part of her holistic approach to healing, she recommends supplementation programs that are natural and simple. She also uses essential oils and sometimes herbs or other modalities. Her goal is always the quality of life and overall comfort of your horse. She offers advice and products that enhance her approach to healing.
